What comes with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition?
Capcom Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 includes the base game and 4 named content entries: Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, End of Zoe, and Not a Hero. That makes edition checking the first step when comparing Black Friday listings.
The two Banned Footage volumes add separate bonus scenarios and modes, while End of Zoe follows a new chapter of the story. Not a Hero is an additional story campaign featuring Chris Redfield. The add-ons give players more than the central Baker estate campaign, with different situations and play styles across the extras.
Retail listings sometimes lead with the franchise name or a shortened title. Look for “Gold Edition” in the product name and review the included-content details. A listing for the standard game is not the same package, even when the cover art and main title look similar.
Is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition scary?
Capcom Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 is built as a first-person survival horror game, with confined spaces, sudden threats, and a deliberately unsettling atmosphere. Players who enjoy tense exploration and jump scares are the clearest audience.
The Baker estate setting keeps the action close and personal. You search rooms, solve environmental puzzles, manage limited supplies, and decide when to fight or escape. The first-person camera makes encounters feel immediate, while the game’s sound design and dim interiors build pressure between confrontations.
The experience is intense rather than relaxing, so consider your comfort with disturbing imagery and sustained suspense. PlayStation VR support pushes immersion further, but it also makes frightening moments feel more immediate. VR is an option, not a requirement; the full campaign is playable on a standard PS4 display.
Does the PS4 Gold Edition support PlayStation VR?
Capcom Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 supports PlayStation VR, giving compatible players a VR mode for the main horror experience. Check the hardware requirements for your setup before buying or planning a VR session.
The PS4 game is designed for standard play as well, so a headset is not required to enjoy the campaign. Players without a VR setup can use a regular display and controller. VR support is a meaningful extra for owners of compatible PlayStation VR hardware, rather than the only way to play.
Confirm which headset, camera, and connection accessories your console setup needs, especially if you are assembling a used or mixed-generation kit. Retailer product pages focus on the game, not necessarily every accessory required for VR. A complete setup check helps prevent a surprise after the game arrives.
What should I check in Resident Evil 7 Black Friday listings?
Capcom Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 listings should clearly identify the Gold Edition and the format being sold. Check the product title, edition details, and included-content list before comparing offers.
For a physical copy, confirm the platform label, disc condition if it is pre-owned, packaging details, and the retailer’s return policy. For a digital listing, verify the PlayStation Store region and whether the content is included with the edition. A game code and a physical disc are different purchases, even when both are described as PS4 copies.
Stock can vary by retailer and format during Black Friday 2026. Save the exact edition name and revisit the listing when you are ready to buy. Avoid relying only on a thumbnail or a shortened search result; the full product page is the useful source for edition and delivery details.
How long is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition?
Capcom Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 offers one main campaign plus four named extra-content entries, so the total time depends on how much of the package you play. Exploration, puzzle-solving, and difficulty settings affect the campaign pace.
The main story is a focused single-player adventure rather than an open-world game. Players who search every room, collect resources, and take time with puzzles will spend longer in the Baker estate than players who push directly through the objectives. The included bonus content provides extra scenarios after or alongside the main campaign.
For Black Friday shoppers, the useful takeaway is scope: Gold Edition gives you the central story and multiple add-ons, not just a short standalone extra. Exact completion time varies with play style, familiarity with survival horror, and how much optional content you pursue.
Who should buy Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition?
Capcom Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4 is best for solo players who want first-person survival horror, a tense story, and included bonus content. The package is especially appealing to fans who want to experience the campaign and follow-up scenarios together.
PlayStation VR owners have another reason to consider this PS4 edition, since the game supports VR play with compatible hardware. Players who prefer co-op, bright adventure games, or low-stress sessions should look elsewhere. Resident Evil 7 centers on isolation, limited resources, and frightening encounters.
Gold Edition also suits series fans filling a gap in their collection, provided they confirm the PS4 format fits their setup. For new players, the self-contained Baker family story is an accessible entry point into this particular survival horror style. Check the edition contents and format, then decide whether the mood and perspective match your tastes.
