Anthem for PS4 Black Friday Deals 2026: Top Offers

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Anthem for PlayStation 4 is not a playable Black Friday 2026 pick: the online-only game’s servers shut down on January 12, 2026. A disc or download code does not bring the service back, so a listing has value only as a collectible.

I researched and compared the game’s features, service status, and owner feedback to make the buying call clear. The appeal is easy to understand: four Javelin exosuits, high-speed sci-fi combat, and co-op missions for up to four players. The catch is decisive. Anthem for PlayStation 4 depends on its closed servers, so don’t buy it expecting a working campaign or multiplayer session. Here's the bottom line: Black Friday stock is for collectors, not players.

How We Picked

• Verified the game’s online-only requirement and the January 12, 2026 server shutdown.
• Compared the advertised PlayStation 4 features, including its four Javelin classes and four-player squad support.
• Prioritized practical listing checks such as disc condition, packaging, platform, and seller return terms.
• Judged Black Friday value by whether a copy has usable gameplay value or collectible value after service closure.

What happened to Anthem for PlayStation 4?

Anthem for PlayStation 4 lost access to its game service when the servers shut down on January 12, 2026. The game was built as an online-only experience, so owning the disc does not provide an offline campaign or a local substitute for the closed service.

The shutdown changes the Black Friday decision completely. A lower-priced listing, special packaging, or bundled physical extras do not make the gameplay work again. Treat an Anthem for PlayStation 4 listing as memorabilia, and read the listing carefully to confirm that the seller is offering the actual item you want.

Can you play Anthem for PlayStation 4 after the server shutdown?

Anthem for PlayStation 4 cannot be played after its January 12, 2026 server shutdown because the game requires the online service to run. Installing a disc does not bypass that requirement, and a previously owned copy does not provide a private or offline mode.

The key check is the game’s online-only design, not the condition of the disc or console. A sealed copy remains sealed merchandise, not a route back into the game. Avoid listings that imply a disc, download code, or included add-on reactivates access; the closed servers are the limiting factor.

What features did Anthem for PlayStation 4 include?

Anthem for PlayStation 4 centered on four Javelin exosuit classes and co-op missions for squads of up to four players. Players piloted customizable suits through a science-fiction world, combining flight, weapons, and team-based combat as the game’s main draw.

That feature set explains why the game attracted players looking for shared action and gear progression. It does not change the current buying recommendation: those features depended on the online service, which is no longer available. For Black Friday 2026, the original feature list is useful context for collectors, not proof of playable content.

What should you check in an Anthem for PlayStation 4 listing?

Anthem for PlayStation 4 listings should be checked for platform, item condition, and exactly what is included. Confirm that a physical listing is the PlayStation 4 edition, then inspect photos for disc scratches, case damage, missing inserts, and any mismatch between the description and the images.

Ask the seller about return terms before ordering, especially when the listing uses words such as sealed, complete, or collectible. A sealed package can suit a display collection, while a used disc can be a more affordable shelf piece. Neither form restores the game’s closed online service.

Is an Anthem for PlayStation 4 Black Friday deal worth it?

An Anthem for PlayStation 4 Black Friday deal is worth considering only for collecting, because the January 12, 2026 server shutdown ended the game’s playable service. For anyone shopping to play, even a compelling bundle or pristine disc does not solve the online requirement.

Set your own limit based on condition, rarity, and display value rather than the game’s original features. Compare seller photos and policies, and skip any listing that presents Anthem for PlayStation 4 as currently playable. Black Friday urgency is no reason to overlook the service status.

Does Anthem for PlayStation 4 have offline or local co-op?

Anthem for PlayStation 4 does not offer an offline fallback that makes the game playable after its servers closed. Its original squad design supported up to four players online, but that feature depended on the service that ended on January 12, 2026.

A console’s internet connection, a different copy, or a local multiplayer setup does not replace the shut-down game servers. Buyers should separate the game’s original feature list from what a physical copy can do today. For collectors, packaging and disc condition matter; for players, the practical answer is to choose another active game.

Buying Guide

Decide whether you want a collectible

Anthem for PlayStation 4 has no playable value after its servers shut down, so buy only if the case, disc, or memorabilia interests you. Avoid purchasing it for campaign access or co-op.

Confirm the PlayStation 4 edition

Anthem listings can be unclear about platform or included items. Check the title, back-cover photos, disc label, and contents before placing an order. Do not assume a download code restores server access.

Inspect condition and seller terms

Anthem for PlayStation 4 physical copies should be judged by disc condition, case quality, inserts, and packaging. Review return terms and seller feedback, particularly for sealed or collector-focused listings.

Ignore playable-game claims

Anthem for PlayStation 4 cannot be made playable by a bundle, a different edition, or a sealed copy. Treat claims of working gameplay with caution and buy only when the listing’s collectible value makes sense to you.

Alternatives to Consider

• Destiny 2 for PlayStation 4: Choose Destiny 2 for PlayStation 4 if you want an ongoing sci-fi action game with online activities instead of a nonfunctional Anthem copy. Check current platform support and account requirements before buying or downloading.
• Warframe for PlayStation 4: Choose Warframe for PlayStation 4 if the draw of Anthem was fast sci-fi combat, customizable gear, and cooperative missions. Warframe is a separate live game, so check its current service and content requirements.
• Outriders for PlayStation 4: Choose Outriders for PlayStation 4 if you want a sci-fi looter-shooter with a campaign focus rather than Anthem’s unavailable online service. Confirm the edition and current platform details in the listing.
