Is Intergalactic better than Death Stranding 2 on PS5?
Naughty Dog Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet for PlayStation 5 and Kojima Productions Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PlayStation 5 suit different tastes, not a single winner. Intergalactic is the pick for players intrigued by a new science-fiction setting and Jordan A. Mun. Death Stranding 2 is the more direct choice for shoppers seeking a specific story-driven PS5 adventure.
For Black Friday 2026, choose by the kind of story you want to spend time with. A new world and protagonist point toward Intergalactic; a named sequel and journey-focused action adventure point toward Death Stranding 2. The Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Console and Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition Console support either game, so the software choice does not lock you into a particular console tier.
Which PS5 setup works for both games?
The Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition Console and Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Console both provide a PS5 home for these 2 game choices. The Slim Disc Edition fits players who want physical discs alongside digital purchases, while the Pro offers a 2 TB SSD for a larger installed library and supports up to 4K output.
Add a comfortable controller and audio setup before expanding into extras. The Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller is tailored to players who value adjustable controls, while the Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset adds wireless audio and a retractable microphone. Players who share a television can consider the Sony PlayStation Portal Remote Player for remote play from a separate screen.
Why choose Death Stranding 2 for Black Friday 2026?
Kojima Productions Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PlayStation 5 is the clearer pick when you want a specific PS5 game rather than a broader console upgrade. The action-adventure format and story-led focus make it a useful choice for players comparing it directly with Naughty Dog Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet for PlayStation 5.
Think about the kind of game you want to play now, along with the console you own. A PS5 owner can focus on the game itself; a new console shopper can compare the Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition Console with the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Console. The Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller and Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset are optional additions, not requirements for enjoying the game.
Should you buy PS5 Pro or PS5 Slim for these games?
The Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Console is the premium choice with 2 TB of SSD storage, while the Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition Console offers 1 TB and an included disc drive. Both options suit players building a PS5 setup for games such as Death Stranding 2 and Intergalactic.
Choose the Pro if internal space and higher-end visual support are priorities. Choose the Slim Disc Edition if physical game ownership matters or you want a flexible mix of discs and downloads. Console selection is separate from the game comparison: Intergalactic and Death Stranding 2 are distinct software choices, and the right system depends on how you use a PS5.
Which PS5 accessories are useful for gaming?
The Sony PlayStation Portal Remote Player, Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller and Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset serve 3 different needs: remote play, control customization and wireless audio. Pick the accessory that solves a real problem in your setup rather than adding gear for its own sake.
The Portal suits PS5 owners who want an 8-inch screen away from the main television. The DualSense Edge is for players who value customizable controls, while Pulse Elite is a focused audio pick with up to 30 hours of battery life. Each accessory supports a different style of play, so prioritize your everyday routine.
Buying Guide
Choose the game before the console
Decide whether Naughty Dog Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet for PlayStation 5 or Kojima Productions Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PlayStation 5 better fits your taste. A game-first decision keeps a Black Friday 2026 setup focused instead of adding hardware without a clear reason.
Pick disc or digital flexibility
The Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition Console includes a disc drive and 1 TB SSD. That setup serves players who want physical games and digital downloads. Compare your existing library and preferred format before choosing a console.
Decide how much storage you want

Match accessories to your play habits
Choose the Sony PlayStation Portal Remote Player for remote play, the Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller for control customization, or the Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset for wireless audio. Each accessory targets a different use case.
Keep the comparison practical
