What is the difference between Fall Guys and Rocket League?
Fall Guys and Rocket League offer 2 very different multiplayer loops: obstacle-course party rounds and competitive car soccer. Fall Guys focuses on movement, timing and surviving each round. Rocket League centers on driving, jumping and hitting a ball into the opposing goal.
Fall Guys is the easier choice for a mixed-skill group that wants laughs and quick sessions. Rocket League gives players more room to improve, with mechanical control and team positioning shaping the action. Both games are free-to-play, so your decision comes down to the kind of match your group wants.
Are Fall Guys and Rocket League free-to-play?
Fall Guys and Rocket League are both free-to-play games, so players can get started without buying a base game. Optional cosmetic content and in-game purchases are separate from the core experience.
Check the game listing for your platform before installing, and review account settings for younger players. Cross-platform play helps connect supported systems, while each platform still uses its own store and account setup. Neither game requires a paid game purchase to try its central multiplayer mode.
Which game is better for friends and family?
Fall Guys and Rocket League suit different groups: Fall Guys favors casual party fun, while Rocket League fits players looking for team competition. Fall Guys rounds are colorful and varied, with obstacles and survival challenges that make every session feel lively.
Rocket League is a strong pick when players enjoy learning a shared skill and building teamwork. The simple goal makes it easy to explain, but accurate driving and ball control take practice. Both games support cross-platform multiplayer, so your group can choose based on play style instead of owning identical hardware.
Which console is best for Fall Guys and Rocket League?
Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition 1TB, Microsoft Xbox Series S 1TB Carbon Black and Nintendo Switch OLED Model White Joy-Con all support both games. The right console depends on your setup: PS5 and Xbox Series S fit TV-focused play, while Switch OLED adds handheld gaming.
Choose PS5 for a digital PlayStation library and 1TB SSD storage. Choose Xbox Series S for a compact digital Xbox setup with 1TB storage. Choose Switch OLED when portability and a 7-inch display matter most. Confirm the current game listing and platform account requirements before downloading.
What should I look for in Black Friday 2026 gaming gear?
A Black Friday 2026 setup for Fall Guys and Rocket League should match your platform, player count and preferred way to play. A second controller helps local multiplayer on supported systems. A headset helps players hear teammates and communicate during online matches.
Compare console storage, display needs and accessory compatibility before choosing hardware. Digital-only consoles suit players who download games, while a portable hybrid system fits travel and handheld sessions. For wireless accessories, check supported platforms and connection types, then confirm the exact model and color on the retailer listing.
Buying Guide
Choose the game loop first
Pick Fall Guys for obstacle courses, funny failures and party energy. Pick Rocket League for car soccer, teamwork and a deeper skill curve. Both games are free-to-play, so your group can explore each style before settling on a favorite.
Match the console to your screen
Choose a PS5 or Xbox Series S for a living-room setup. Choose Nintendo Switch OLED for handheld play and TV docking. Check which platform your friends use, and confirm both games are available in that platform’s store.
Check storage and game access
Digital consoles need enough space for your game library. Compare the included SSD capacity and available expansion options. Since the featured consoles have no built-in disc drive, plan on downloading games through the platform’s store.
Add accessories for your group
A spare controller makes local multiplayer easier on supported systems. A wireless headset is useful for online chat, but compatibility differs by platform. Confirm the exact controller or headset model works with your console before checkout.
Compare complete product details
During Black Friday 2026, compare model names, storage, included accessories, color and return terms. Retailer listings can use similar names for different versions. Match the full product name in this guide to the listing you plan to buy.
