Which is better, the BOOX Note Air3 or BOOX Leaf2?
The BOOX Note Air3 is better for writing and full-page documents, while the BOOX Leaf2 Black is better for compact e-book reading. A 10.3-inch screen gives the BOOX Note Air3 room for notes and PDF layouts; the 7-inch BOOX Leaf2 Black is easier to carry and hold during reading.
Choose by the task you do most. The BOOX Note Air3 adds pen-focused use and a larger workspace, but occupies more bag space. The BOOX Leaf2 Black keeps the experience centered on books and smaller reading sessions. Both devices use monochrome E Ink, so neither is the right choice when color pages are essential. Buyers who want physical page-turn buttons should also compare the BOOX Page, while color-focused readers should look at the BOOX Note Air3 C or BOOX Tab Mini C.
Which BOOX screen size should you choose?
The BOOX Note Air3 10.3-inch Monochrome E Ink Tablet suits notes and documents, while the BOOX Palma 6.13-inch Mobile E Ink Device suits pocket reading. Screen size changes how much text fits at once and how comfortably a device handles PDFs, comics, and handwritten work.
A 7-inch model such as the BOOX Leaf2 Black or BOOX Page offers a practical middle ground for reading on the move. The BOOX Tab Mini C grows that compact format to 7.8 inches and adds color E Ink. For extended note sessions or larger document layouts, a 10.3-inch device provides a more open workspace. Consider where the reader will be used most: a desk, a commute, or a reading chair.
Is color E Ink worth choosing over monochrome?
The BOOX Note Air3 C and BOOX Tab Mini C are the color E Ink picks, while the BOOX Note Air3, BOOX Leaf2 Black, BOOX Page, BOOX Go 10.3, and BOOX Palma use monochrome displays. Color matters most for comics, charts, illustrated books, and notes that use color coding.
The BOOX Note Air3 C combines a 10.3-inch workspace with 150-ppi color resolution. The BOOX Tab Mini C brings color to a more portable 7.8-inch format. Both retain 300-ppi monochrome resolution for standard text. Readers focused on novels, articles, or black-and-white documents can choose a monochrome model and avoid paying attention to a feature they rarely use. For any E Ink device, compare the display type with the content you read every week.
Which BOOX model is best for reading on the go?
The BOOX Leaf2 Black 7-inch E Ink eReader is the best straightforward travel reader in this lineup, and the BOOX Palma 6.13-inch Mobile E Ink Device is the most pocket-friendly option. Both prioritize a smaller format over the spacious writing area found on 10.3-inch tablets.
The BOOX Page adds physical page-turn buttons for readers who prefer tactile controls. The BOOX Tab Mini C offers color in a compact tablet, although its 7.8-inch screen is larger than the BOOX Palma. Think about how the device will be carried and held, not just its diagonal screen measurement. A smaller reader is easier to take everywhere; a larger tablet is more comfortable for complex layouts and detailed annotation.
What should you compare before buying BOOX on Black Friday 2026?
Compare screen size, display type, and the way you read before choosing a BOOX device for Black Friday 2026. The BOOX Note Air3 is designed around notes and large documents, while the BOOX Leaf2 Black is designed around portable reading.
Check whether you need a pen workflow, color, physical page-turn buttons, or a pocketable shape. Then compare storage and memory if you plan to keep many files or use Android apps. The BOOX Page suits button-first readers; the BOOX Note Air3 C and BOOX Tab Mini C serve color needs. Matching the product to a regular use case is a better value strategy than picking the device with the longest specification list.
Buying Guide
Match screen size to your main task
Choose the BOOX Note Air3 10.3-inch Monochrome E Ink Tablet for notes and full-page documents. Choose the BOOX Leaf2 Black 7-inch E Ink eReader for a compact book reader. A 10.3-inch display offers a larger workspace; 7 inches is easier to carry.
Decide whether you need color
Pick the BOOX Note Air3 C or BOOX Tab Mini C when color charts, comics, or illustrations matter. Both provide 150-ppi color and 300-ppi monochrome resolution. A monochrome BOOX model is a simpler match for novels and standard text.
Choose your preferred reading controls
The BOOX Page 7-inch E Ink eReader adds physical page-turn buttons. The BOOX Leaf2 Black keeps to a compact reading format without that being its central distinction. Button preference is personal, so consider how you hold and operate a reader.
Check storage and app needs
Compare stated memory and storage before settling on a device. The BOOX Palma has 128GB of storage, while several tablets list 64GB and compact readers list 32GB. Think about downloaded books, documents, and Android apps in your regular routine.
