Which game is better: AO Tennis 2 or Session: Skate Sim?

AO Tennis 2 and Session: Skate Sim serve different sports, so the better pick depends on whether you want match strategy or board control. AO Tennis 2 is the tennis choice, with career progression, custom content and up to 4 local players. Session: Skate Sim is a solo skateboarding simulation built around 2-stick controls.

Choose AO Tennis 2 for rallies, tournaments and local competition. Choose Session: Skate Sim for learning technical tricks, finding lines and repeating a spot until the movement clicks. Worth it for most players: match the game's main activity to the sport you already enjoy, rather than expecting one title to replace the other.

What should I know about Black Friday 2026 game editions?

The 7 games in this guide span PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch editions, so platform matching is the first buying check. A PlayStation 4 disc is not the same product as a PlayStation 5 edition, and a Nintendo Switch copy belongs to a separate console family.

Read the complete product title before choosing a listing, including the platform and edition name. For a gift, confirm the recipient's console and whether they prefer a physical copy or a digital download. Black Friday shopping works best when the game, console and player count all line up.

Which tennis game is best for career mode and local play?

AO Tennis 2 and Tennis World Tour 2 both support up to 4 local players, while TopSpin 2K25 adds a newer tennis presentation and online competition. AO Tennis 2 stands out for its player and court creation tools, which give fans room to personalize the experience.

Pick TopSpin 2K25 if licensed presentation and competitive online matches matter most. Pick AO Tennis 2 if custom content and a career path are higher priorities. Tennis World Tour 2 is an alternate option for shoppers who want another simulation-style tennis game on PlayStation 4.

Which skateboarding game is best for beginners?

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is the easiest entry point for quick arcade action, while Session: Skate Sim and Skater XL ask players to learn 2-stick skating. OlliOlli World offers a different route with 2D platforming and portable Nintendo Switch play.

New players who want immediate runs and score chasing should start with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2. Players who enjoy repetition and precise inputs should look at Session: Skate Sim or Skater XL. OlliOlli World is a good fit for compact sessions and colorful, route-based challenges.

How do I choose between arcade skating and skate simulation?

Arcade skating favors fast combos and readable goals, while skate simulations emphasize control, timing and believable movement. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is built for energetic runs; Session: Skate Sim and Skater XL focus on learning each trick through 2-stick inputs.

Think about how you want a session to feel. Choose arcade play for short bursts or friendly score battles. Choose a simulation for patient practice and self-directed progression. OlliOlli World sits apart from both, using a 2D format that rewards clean timing and route mastery.

Buying Guide

Match the game to your console

Check the full product title for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch before checkout. Console editions are not interchangeable, and the right copy depends on the system the player owns.

Choose a sport before comparing features

AO Tennis 2, TopSpin 2K25 and Tennis World Tour 2 focus on tennis. Session: Skate Sim, Skater XL, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 and OlliOlli World focus on skateboarding.

Decide between solo and group play

Check player counts if couch multiplayer matters. AO Tennis 2 and Tennis World Tour 2 support up to 4 local players, while Session: Skate Sim and Skater XL are solo-focused.

Pick a control style that fits your patience

Arcade controls get players into action quickly. Two-stick skate controls ask for more practice but reward precision. Tennis games center on positioning, timing and shot selection.

Check edition details for gifts

Confirm the exact platform, edition and physical or digital format. A well-matched standard edition beats a more elaborate package that does not fit the recipient's console or preferred sport.
