EA Sports FC 25 vs NBA 2K25 is a soccer-versus-basketball choice for Black Friday 2026. I researched and compared specs, reviews and owner feedback to make the decision simple: pick EA Sports FC 25 for club football, tactical team play and Rush, or NBA 2K25 for basketball, career progression and court action.
Both games come in editions for several consoles, so check the platform name before buying. A PS5 edition is not the same listing as a PS4 or Nintendo Switch edition. Here's the bottom line: the best pick is the sport you’ll play most, on the console you already own.
How We Picked
- Compared each game’s central sport, signature modes and match format.
- Included editions for current and previous console generations, plus Nintendo Switch.
- Prioritized clear platform naming to help prevent buying an incompatible edition.
- Considered the appeal of solo progression, local multiplayer and online play.
- Reviewed published specifications, reviews and owner feedback rather than claiming detailed experience.

Which game is better for Black Friday 2026?
EA Sports FC 25 and NBA 2K25 offer 2 different sports, so the better game depends on what you want to play. EA Sports FC 25 is the soccer choice; NBA 2K25 is the basketball choice.
EA Sports FC 25 suits players who follow club football, international teams and tactical matchups. Its 5v5 Rush mode adds a quicker option when a full soccer match feels too long. NBA 2K25 suits players who want NBA rosters, court action and career progression. ProPLAY is a standout feature on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
For a group purchase, ask what your friends already play and check console compatibility. A game shared by your regular group is a better pick than a mode you rarely use.
What is the difference between EA Sports FC 25 and NBA 2K25?
EA Sports FC 25 focuses on soccer, while NBA 2K25 focuses on basketball; both build their play around team competition and player progression.
EA Sports FC 25 gives football fans 11-a-side matches, clubs and a 5v5 Rush option. NBA 2K25 puts NBA teams and five-on-five court play at the center, with modes such as MyCAREER for players who want to develop a player over time. The sports have different rhythms: soccer emphasizes space, passing and possession, while basketball centers on shorter possessions and shots.
Choose the game connected to the sport you watch or play. The core sport makes a bigger difference to everyday enjoyment than a list of extra modes.
Which game is best for multiplayer?
EA Sports FC 25 and NBA 2K25 both suit multiplayer, but the best one depends on whether your group prefers soccer or basketball.
EA Sports FC 25 offers a familiar team-versus-team soccer setup, plus 5v5 Rush for a smaller-sided match. NBA 2K25 gives basketball fans head-to-head court play and team-based modes. Before buying, check which console each player owns and confirm the edition’s multiplayer details on its store listing.
For same-room play, review the edition’s local-player information before checkout. For online sessions, check online play requirements and account settings for your console. Those checks help avoid a game that your group cannot play together.
Which platform edition should you choose?
The right edition is the one that matches your console: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch or PS4.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions are the current-generation console options in this guide. Nintendo Switch editions are the portable picks, while PS4 editions suit players keeping their existing Sony console. Platform versions can differ in features, presentation and supported modes, so do not assume every edition is identical.
Read the full product name and platform field before ordering. If a household owns more than one console, pick the edition for the console that gets the most play time.
Are EA Sports FC 25 and NBA 2K25 good Black Friday 2026 picks?

EA Sports FC 25 brings soccer’s club and match-day appeal, with 5v5 Rush as a quick-play alternative. NBA 2K25 is the basketball choice, with NBA teams, five-on-five play and career-focused modes. Both are easy to recommend when their sport matches the player’s interests.
