Which is better, FIFA 24 or NBA 2K24?
EA SPORTS FC 24 and NBA 2K24 serve different sports, so the better pick depends on whether you want football or basketball. EA SPORTS FC 24 focuses on clubs, national teams, Career and Ultimate Team; NBA 2K24 centers on NBA play, MyCAREER, MyTEAM and MyNBA.
Both games support up to 4 local players on the listed editions, giving either title a clear couch-play angle. The main difference is the sport and the modes built around it. Choose EA SPORTS FC 24 for soccer tactics and club competition; choose NBA 2K24 for basketball gameplay and an NBA career path.
Which game is better for playing with friends?
EA SPORTS FC 24 and NBA 2K24 each support up to 4 local players on the platform editions in this guide. That shared-player count makes both suitable for local multiplayer sessions, but the sport changes the feel of a match.
EA SPORTS FC 24 works well for friends who enjoy passing, positioning and football teams. NBA 2K24 is the fit for basketball fans who want NBA matchups and court action. Check the exact console edition before buying, then confirm controller availability and online requirements for the modes your group plans to use.
Which platforms support FIFA 24 and NBA 2K24?
EA SPORTS FC 24 and NBA 2K24 have editions for 4 platform families represented here: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The product name identifies the console generation, so match it to the system already in your home.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S editions are the current-generation console options in this guide. PlayStation 4 and Switch editions target those systems and have platform-specific feature sets. Confirm the listing's exact platform and format before checkout, especially when shopping for a gift or buying for a household with more than one console.
Should you pick the PlayStation 5 or Switch edition?
EA SPORTS FC 24 and NBA 2K24 on PlayStation 5 suit players who want a home-console experience, while Nintendo Switch editions suit people who value portable play. Each platform delivers a different use case, so the decision starts with where and how you play.
For couch play on a television, the PS5 versions are straightforward picks for a compatible console. For travel, handheld play or a shared Switch setup, choose the relevant Nintendo Switch game. Do not assume every mode or feature carries across platforms; check the edition details for the exact console version before choosing.
What should you check before buying a sports game?
EA SPORTS FC 24 and NBA 2K24 shoppers should verify 3 details before buying: platform, edition and online requirements. Those checks prevent the most common mismatch—picking the right sport but the wrong console version.
Compare the product name against the console model, then confirm which edition is listed and what it includes. Review online service requirements if multiplayer or team modes are part of your plan. For Black Friday 2026 shopping, keep the intended recipient's preferred sport in mind; a basketball fan will get more from NBA 2K24, while a soccer fan will lean toward EA SPORTS FC 24.
Buying Guide
Start with the sport
Pick EA SPORTS FC 24 for association football, club management and soccer matches. Pick NBA 2K24 for NBA teams, basketball and a player-centered career. Worth it for most players means choosing the sport they already follow.
Match the exact console
Read the whole product name before buying. PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 are separate versions, as are Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Console compatibility is the first filter.
Choose a mode you will play
EA SPORTS FC 24 features Career, Ultimate Team and Clubs. NBA 2K24 offers MyCAREER, MyTEAM and MyNBA. Focus on the mode you want to spend time in, rather than choosing by edition label alone.
Plan for local multiplayer
The listed editions support up to 4 local players. Check that your setup has enough controllers and space for group play. Online modes also need network access, and some online features rely on platform services.
Review edition details
Standard and special editions do not always include the same extras. Check the exact product listing for included content, game format and platform-specific features before placing an order.
