Which is better, OnePlus 12 or OnePlus Open?

OnePlus 12 is better for shoppers who want a traditional phone, while OnePlus Open is better for shoppers who want a foldable screen for multitasking. OnePlus 12 has a 6.82-inch display and a 5,400mAh battery. OnePlus Open unfolds to a 7.82-inch inner display and has a 4,805mAh battery.

For one-handed tasks, familiar handling and a larger battery, choose OnePlus 12. For side-by-side apps, reading larger documents and video on a roomier display, choose OnePlus Open. The foldable costs you some battery capacity and adds a hinge and thicker folded shape to consider. Both models offer 16GB RAM and 512GB storage in the configurations featured here, so design and daily use are the important differences.

Is OnePlus Open worth choosing over OnePlus 12?

OnePlus Open is worth choosing over OnePlus 12 when the 7.82-inch inner screen will improve how you work or relax. The unfolded display gives compatible apps more room and supports a split-screen style of use, while the 6.31-inch cover display handles common phone tasks without opening the device.

OnePlus 12 is the easier recommendation for shoppers who do not need a folding screen. The standard design is simpler to carry and use, and its 5,400mAh battery is larger than the OnePlus Open battery. Consider how often you read, edit documents, watch video or use multiple apps at once. If those activities are central to your phone routine, the Open’s screen is a practical distinction rather than a novelty.

Which OnePlus phone is best for battery life?

OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R have the largest listed battery capacities at 6,000mAh, making them strong starting points for shoppers who prioritize battery size. OnePlus 12R follows with a 5,500mAh battery, and OnePlus 12 has 5,400mAh. OnePlus Open and OnePlus Open Apex Edition each list a 4,805mAh battery.

Battery capacity alone does not determine time between charges; screen use, signal strength, apps and settings also affect results. Foldable shoppers should weigh the Open’s larger inner display against its lower capacity. Standard-phone buyers can compare the 13 series with OnePlus 12R based on storage and performance needs. Charging support is useful when you need a quick top-up, but it is separate from total battery endurance.

Which OnePlus phone is best for a big screen?

OnePlus Open and OnePlus Open Apex Edition provide the largest screen in this guide, with a 7.82-inch inner display that folds away behind a 6.31-inch cover display. The design offers a phone-sized screen when closed and a larger workspace when open.

OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 13 each have a 6.82-inch standard display, while OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 13R have 6.78-inch displays. Those phones suit shoppers who want a large screen without a hinge or a second display format. Think about how often you would use the Open unfolded: frequent reading, split-screen apps and video make the extra display area more useful. For quick messages and everyday phone tasks, a standard screen is a simpler fit.

What should shoppers compare on Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 shoppers should compare the exact OnePlus model, storage configuration, battery capacity and screen format before making a choice. Listings can use similar model names while offering different memory, storage or color options, so check the full product name and configuration.

Start with the decision between a standard phone and a foldable. Next, decide whether 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage fits your photo, app and file habits. Compare battery capacity and charging support, then confirm that the selected model works with your carrier and preferred charging accessories. A useful deal is the phone that matches your everyday needs, not simply the one with the most premium-sounding name.

Buying Guide

Choose the right screen format

OnePlus Open is the pick for shoppers who want a foldable 7.82-inch inner display. OnePlus 12 and the other standard models offer a familiar single-screen phone shape. Choose the Open for spacious multitasking; choose a standard model for simpler everyday handling.

Match storage to your habits

A 256GB OnePlus configuration suits shoppers with moderate local storage needs, while 512GB offers more room for apps, photos and video. OnePlus Open Apex Edition provides 1TB. Check the exact configuration on the listing before selecting a color or model.

Compare battery capacity

OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R each list a 6,000mAh battery, while OnePlus 12R lists 5,500mAh. OnePlus 12 has 5,400mAh, and OnePlus Open models have 4,805mAh. Use capacity as a comparison point, not a guarantee of runtime.

Pick the right performance tier

OnePlus 13 provides a newer-generation flagship option, while OnePlus 12 remains a strong standard flagship comparison. OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 13R target shoppers who put value and practical daily features ahead of foldable design or maximum storage.

Check compatibility and included accessories

Confirm carrier compatibility, charging support and the contents of the specific OnePlus listing before checkout. Regional configurations can differ. Make sure the selected color, memory and storage match your needs, and check whether a case or charger is included.
