The wired connection and console requirement are real trade-offs, so make sure the setup fits your room and play style.

What comes with the Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle?

Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle includes the PS VR2 headset, two PS VR2 Sense controllers and access to Horizon Call of the Mountain. Those core pieces give PS5 owners what they need to start with compatible VR games, subject to the console and game setup requirements.

The headset connects to a PS5 using a single USB-C cable. That keeps setup simpler than room-scale systems with external tracking sensors, but the cable remains part of the play space. Clear the area around your play zone and plan where the cable runs before jumping into a session.

Black Friday listings deserve a careful contents check. Look for the full bundle name and confirm that the game is included in the specific listing, along with both controllers. Retailer pages sometimes use shortened titles, so compare the detailed description and included-items section before placing an order.

What are the Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle specs?

Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle features OLED displays with 2,000 × 2,040 pixels per eye, a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate and an approximately 110-degree field of view. Those numbers describe the main visual hardware behind the headset’s immersive PS5 experience.

The system also includes eye tracking, headset feedback and four built-in tracking cameras. Eye tracking supports features such as foveated rendering in compatible games, while the headset cameras track movement without requiring separate external sensors. Two PS VR2 Sense controllers bring motion controls and finger-touch detection to supported titles.

Specs tell only part of the story. Comfort, image clarity and performance vary with fit, game design and individual preference. Check the headband adjustment and lens setup instructions, and confirm that the PS5 has room near the play area for the cable connection.

Does the Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle require a PS5?

Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle requires a PlayStation 5 console for its standard PS VR2 gaming setup. The headset is designed to connect to PS5 over USB-C, so it is not a standalone headset that runs games independently.

That requirement shapes the whole buying decision. PS5 owners can add VR to a console setup they already use, while players without the console need to account for the larger system commitment. Also check game compatibility: PS VR2 titles are distinct from standard PS5 games and original PlayStation VR software.

Before buying, confirm that the PS5 is close enough to the planned play area for the cable to reach safely. A clear floor, enough room to turn and a nearby place to set down the headset all make regular sessions easier. Keep the play zone free of furniture and pets.

How good is the Horizon game in the Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle?

Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle includes Horizon Call of the Mountain, a VR adventure set in the Horizon world and designed for PS VR2 controls. The game gives the package a clear starting point rather than leaving buyers to build a compatible VR library from scratch.

The adventure makes use of the headset’s motion controls and immersive viewpoint, with climbing and bow-focused interactions that suit the Sense controllers. Players who enjoy exploring game worlds and interacting physically with objects have a strong reason to start here. The included game also helps explain what VR adds beyond a standard screen.

Check the bundle listing for the exact game-delivery method and redemption instructions. Digital game access can have different terms from a boxed disc, and the package details should spell out how to claim the title. The game’s appeal depends on taste, so browse its description and gameplay details before buying.

What should buyers check in PlayStation VR2 Horizon bundle Black Friday deals?

Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle Black Friday listings deserve a four-part check: included contents, seller identity, return terms and stock status. Those details help separate a complete bundle from a listing with a shortened name or unclear game-inclusion terms.

Compare the exact product title across retailers and inspect the product details for the headset, two Sense controllers and Horizon Call of the Mountain. Confirm whether the game is supplied as a code and review any redemption conditions. Check shipping, return windows and warranty information on the retailer’s own page.

Stock can change quickly during major shopping events, so verify availability at the point of purchase instead of relying on a search snippet. Watch for color or packaging variations and make sure the listing is for the bundle, not a headset-only package. A clear seller record and complete item description are strong signals of a straightforward purchase.

Who should buy the Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle?

Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle is a strong fit for PS5 owners who want VR visuals, motion controls and a bundled adventure in one purchase. Players with compatible games already in mind get the most from the headset, especially if they value Sony’s console ecosystem.

The package is less suitable for anyone seeking a wireless, standalone headset or a VR system that works without a console. A USB-C cable connects the headset to PS5, and the headset’s library centers on PS VR2 software. Buyers should also be comfortable setting aside a clear space for VR sessions.

Worth it for most players. For PS5 owners who are ready to explore VR and want a game included, the bundle brings together the key hardware and a recognizable adventure. Check the Black Friday listing closely, confirm every included item and choose a retailer with clear return terms.

Alternatives to Consider

• Meta Quest 3S 128GB VR Headset: Choose Meta Quest 3S 128GB VR Headset instead if standalone play and freedom from a console connection matter more than PS5 integration. The headset operates without a PS5, while Sony’s bundle is built around PS VR2 games and Sony’s console.
