Which is better, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or Samsung Galaxy S23?
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the better fit for advanced camera features and a larger screen, while the Samsung Galaxy S23 is better for compact handling; the Ultra has a 200MP main camera and 6.8-inch display, compared with 50MP and 6.1 inches on the standard model. Both have a 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.
Choose the Ultra if you value its built-in S Pen, high-resolution camera hardware and larger battery. Choose the Galaxy S23 if one-handed use, pocketability and a lighter carry matter more than maximum screen space. Easy recommendation for shoppers who want a middle ground: consider the Samsung Galaxy S23+ for its 6.6-inch display and 4,700mAh battery.
What are the main differences between Samsung Galaxy S23 models?
The Samsung Galaxy S23 family has 3 main sizes: 6.1 inches for Galaxy S23, 6.6 inches for Galaxy S23+ and 6.8 inches for Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Ultra also stands apart with a 200MP main camera and built-in S Pen, while the other two list a 50MP main camera.
Battery capacity also scales with the devices: 3,900mAh in Galaxy S23, 4,700mAh in Galaxy S23+ and 5,000mAh in Galaxy S23 Ultra. Storage varies by configuration, from 128GB in the listed standard model to 1TB in the listed Ultra. All three models have high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, so screen size and feature priorities are useful ways to narrow the choice.
Is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra worth choosing over the Galaxy S23?
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is worth choosing over the Samsung Galaxy S23 when its 200MP camera, 6.8-inch QHD+ display and built-in S Pen solve needs you have. Those features are especially relevant for photography enthusiasts, note-takers and shoppers who prefer a large screen.
The standard Galaxy S23 keeps core flagship features in a smaller 6.1-inch body and uses a 50MP main camera. Shoppers who mostly message, browse and take casual photos can get a more manageable device without choosing the largest model. Compare the storage configuration too: a 256GB standard Galaxy S23 gives extra media room while retaining its compact size.
Which Samsung Galaxy S23 model is best for camera and battery?
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the camera-focused choice, with a 200MP main camera, while the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S23+ have the largest listed batteries at 5,000mAh and 4,700mAh. The standard Samsung Galaxy S23 has a 50MP main camera and 3,900mAh battery.
Camera resolution is only one part of a phone’s photo system, but the Ultra’s headline spec and S Pen make it the most feature-rich option in this selection. For a large display and strong battery capacity in a less expansive package, the S23+ is a useful middle ground. For shoppers who value a smaller phone above battery capacity, the standard Galaxy S23 stands out.
How should I compare Samsung Galaxy S23 Black Friday 2026 listings?
Samsung Galaxy S23 Black Friday 2026 listings are easiest to compare by matching 3 details first: exact model, storage capacity and unlocked status. A Galaxy S23 Ultra 512GB listing is not the same configuration as a Galaxy S23 128GB, even when both belong to the same phone family.
Check the listing title and product details for the full model name, storage and carrier compatibility before choosing. Confirm whether the phone is new, refurbished or renewed, and review the seller’s return information. Compare the final listing details rather than relying on a model-family label alone. That simple check helps ensure the selected device has the screen size and storage you intended.
Buying Guide
Pick the right screen size
Start with the device you want to carry every day. The Samsung Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch display, the Samsung Galaxy S23+ measures 6.6 inches and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra reaches 6.8 inches. Smaller screens are easier to manage with one hand; larger screens give videos, maps and documents more room.
Match storage to your habits
Choose 128GB for a lighter collection of apps and media, 256GB for extra everyday breathing room, or 512GB and 1TB for larger libraries. None of the listed models has expandable storage. Think about how much video you save and whether you regularly move photos to cloud storage or a computer.
Choose the camera experience you need
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 200MP main camera and built-in S Pen, making it the most feature-rich photography and productivity pick here. Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S23+ use 50MP main cameras. Consider the Ultra for its added camera hardware and stylus, not simply the bigger number.
Check the exact listing
For Black Friday 2026, verify the complete model name, storage size, unlocked status and condition before you order. Check seller details, carrier compatibility and return terms. Compare like-for-like configurations so a different storage tier or device condition does not distort your decision.
