Shadow of the Tomb Raider vs Uncharted Collection is a choice between exploration-led survival and cinematic action. I researched and compared specs, reviews and owner feedback to find strong picks across PlayStation and Xbox. The right buy comes down to the games included, the platform in your setup and how much you enjoy solving puzzles between action scenes.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider puts Lara Croft’s stealth, traversal and tomb-raiding front and center. Uncharted collections lean into character-driven set pieces and shootouts, with one collection covering Nathan Drake’s first three adventures and another pairing two later games. Here’s the bottom line: buy for your preferred style first, then check the edition and platform before checkout.

Which is better, Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Uncharted?
Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection serve different adventure tastes; the Nathan Drake Collection bundles 3 games, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider centers on 1 Lara Croft campaign. Pick Shadow for stealth, traversal, environmental puzzles and challenge tombs. Pick Uncharted for cinematic action, character banter and big set pieces.
The biggest difference is pacing. Shadow gives exploration room to breathe and asks players to read the environment. Uncharted pushes a tighter sequence of story scenes, combat and traversal. Both suit solo play, but the Nathan Drake Collection offers more separate campaigns in one package. For PS5, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection bundles 2 later adventures instead.
What is included in each game collection?
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes 3 remastered single-player games, while Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes 2 games: Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. The Nathan Drake bundle is the pick for following the earlier adventures; Legacy of Thieves is the PS5 or PC route to the later stories.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a complete edition of one main game with additional content, including 7 challenge tombs. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition are separate entries, not extra games inside Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Check each listing’s edition details so the included content matches your plan.
Which platform should I choose for Black Friday 2026?
PlayStation 4 players can choose among 4 picks on this page, while PlayStation 5 players have 1 dedicated Uncharted collection. Xbox One players should select the Xbox edition of Shadow of the Tomb Raider; PC players should choose the PC version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
Platform compatibility matters more than the franchise name. A PS4 disc is not an Xbox game, and the PS5 collection is not the same bundle as the PS4 Nathan Drake collection. Confirm the console, edition and physical-versus-digital format on the retailer’s product page. For a shared household, match the purchase to the device the recipient uses most.
Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition worth choosing?
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a strong choice for players who want 1 complete Lara Croft adventure with extra tomb content. Its 7 challenge tombs give puzzle-focused players a clear reason to choose it over a more action-led Uncharted bundle.
The edition is especially appealing when stealth and exploration are the main draw. Lara can approach encounters tactically, and tombs put environmental problem-solving at the center. Players who value several distinct story campaigns in one purchase should compare it with The Nathan Drake Collection’s 3 games. For Xbox One, confirm the platform edition before adding it to a cart.
Which collection is the better gift for an adventure fan?
The Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the safer PS4 gift for players who want 3 story campaigns, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is better for fans of Lara Croft and exploration. The best gift depends on the recipient’s console and preferred adventure style.
For PS5 owners, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection packages 2 later adventures in a version made for that console. For Xbox One owners, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the matching option in this guide. Check for duplicate ownership before buying: a player who already owns one of the included games can get more from a different franchise or edition.
Buying Guide
Match the game to the console
Start with the exact platform name in the product title. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PC versions are distinct choices. Check disc compatibility and edition details before placing an order.
Choose one adventure or a bundle
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition focuses on one main adventure plus extra content. The Nathan Drake Collection includes 3 games, and Legacy of Thieves includes 2. Count the titles that the player still needs.
Pick a gameplay style
Choose Shadow of the Tomb Raider for stealth, tomb puzzles and exploration. Choose Uncharted for cinematic action, story scenes and set-piece sequences. The better fit is the one that matches the player’s favorite moments.
Check physical and digital formats
Retail listings can differ by format and included extras. Read the product page’s edition name, platform and included-content notes. Digital versions require the right account and enough storage on the target device.
Avoid buying a duplicate
Ask which Uncharted or Tomb Raider games the recipient already owns. Collections do not all contain the same entries. Check the individual titles in each bundle before choosing a Black Friday 2026 gift.
