- Included alternatives across 4K, 5K and 6K resolutions, plus LCD, Mini-LED and OLED panel types.
- Considered overall value and practical ownership details, including connectivity and whether a stand is included or sold separately.

Is ViewSonic Elite or Apple Pro Display XDR better for most buyers?
ViewSonic ELITE XG320U and Apple Pro Display XDR are built for different priorities, so the best choice depends on gaming or professional image work. ViewSonic ELITE XG320U pairs 4K resolution with 144Hz, making it the more natural match for gaming, fast scrolling and everyday desktop use. Apple Pro Display XDR offers 6K resolution, P3 color and substantially higher HDR brightness for demanding Mac workflows.
For most buyers, the ViewSonic ELITE XG320U is easier to justify as an all-purpose monitor. Apple Pro Display XDR makes sense when the workflow benefits from detailed 6K viewing and high-brightness HDR. Consider the Apple Studio Display as a less specialized Mac option, or Dell UltraSharp U3224KB when 6K productivity and a built-in camera are priorities. Skip it if the screen’s specialist features do not match your daily work.
What are the biggest differences between ViewSonic Elite and Apple Pro Display XDR?
Apple Pro Display XDR 32-inch Standard Glass has 6016 × 3384 resolution and up to 1600 nits peak brightness, while ViewSonic ELITE XG320U has 3840 × 2160 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Those numbers point to different jobs: the Apple display emphasizes pixel density, color and HDR; the ViewSonic emphasizes motion and gaming value.
ViewSonic ELITE XG321UG narrows the HDR gap with Mini-LED backlighting and 1152 local dimming zones, while keeping a 144Hz refresh rate. The two product families also differ in connectivity and ecosystem. Apple Pro Display XDR is designed around compatible Mac workflows, while ViewSonic ELITE gaming monitors suit a wider mix of gaming PCs and consoles. Check the exact ports and computer compatibility before purchase.
Is Apple Pro Display XDR worth choosing over Apple Studio Display?
Apple Pro Display XDR offers 6K resolution and up to 1600 nits peak brightness, while Apple Studio Display offers 5K resolution and 600 nits brightness. Apple Pro Display XDR is the more specialized choice for high-end HDR production, detailed image review and workflows that benefit from its higher brightness. Apple Studio Display is better suited to everyday Mac productivity, video calls and general creative work.
The right pick depends on what the display changes in your work. A large 5K canvas already gives Apple Studio Display sharp text and images, plus an integrated camera and speakers. Apple Pro Display XDR adds more headroom for HDR and resolution, but the Pro Stand is sold separately. Buyers who do not need those features should prioritize a monitor that fits their actual workflow rather than paying for unused capability.
Which monitor is best for gaming, HDR and creative work?
ViewSonic ELITE XG320U is the gaming pick with 4K resolution and 144Hz, while ViewSonic ELITE XG321UG adds Mini-LED and 1152 dimming zones for brighter HDR gaming. ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM is another gaming-class option for shoppers prioritizing a 240Hz 4K OLED panel, but an OLED gaming screen is not a direct substitute for a creator reference monitor.
Apple Pro Display XDR and Dell UltraSharp U3224KB are stronger matches for detailed creative desktop work, with both offering 6K-class resolution. Apple emphasizes HDR brightness and Mac integration; Dell adds a built-in 4K webcam and Thunderbolt 4. BenQ PD3225U makes a practical middle ground for Mac creators who want 4K resolution and wide color coverage. Match the display to the work, not just the largest specification.
What should shoppers check before Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday 2026 monitor shoppers should compare the exact model, included accessories, return terms and connection requirements before choosing. Apple Pro Display XDR needs a compatible computer and the preferred mounting setup; its Pro Stand is a separate purchase. ViewSonic ELITE gaming models need a PC or console capable of using their high refresh rates to deliver their full advantage.
Check the input ports, desk depth and display stand adjustment as carefully as resolution. A 32-inch monitor needs enough viewing distance, while high-resolution screens benefit from a computer that supports the target output. Confirm whether the listing names Standard Glass or Nano-texture Glass for Apple Pro Display XDR. For ViewSonic ELITE, confirm the XG320U or XG321UG model number so the refresh rate and backlight match expectations.

Apple Pro Display XDR 32-inch Standard Glass offers 6016 × 3384 resolution for dense creative work. ViewSonic ELITE XG320U offers 3840 × 2160 resolution for 4K gaming and broad everyday use. Consider 5K or 6K when fine detail and workspace are more important than high refresh.

Decide whether HDR or color coverage matters
ViewSonic ELITE XG321UG combines Mini-LED backlighting with 1152 dimming zones for HDR gaming. Apple Pro Display XDR reaches up to 1600 nits peak brightness and supports P3 color. Pick according to the material you edit or the games you play.
Check connectivity, mounting and accessories
Dell UltraSharp U3224KB includes Thunderbolt 4 and a built-in 4K webcam. Apple Pro Display XDR uses Thunderbolt 3 and requires a separate Pro Stand purchase for Apple’s stand option. Confirm the ports, mount compatibility and box contents for the exact listing.
Buy for the computer you already own
Apple Pro Display XDR is designed for compatible Mac setups, while ViewSonic ELITE gaming monitors suit PC and console use. Check that your computer supports the chosen monitor’s resolution and refresh rate over the intended cable before deciding.
