Which collection is better: Uncharted or Jak and Daxter?
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes 2 modern cinematic adventures, while Jak and Daxter Collection includes 3 classic platformers. The better choice depends on the kind of play you want, not simply the number of games.
Uncharted suits players who enjoy character-driven stories, cover shooting, climbing and spectacular set pieces. The PS5 collection adds multiple presentation modes, including a Performance+ option that reaches up to 120 FPS on compatible displays. Jak and Daxter suits players who prefer colorful worlds, collectible hunts and platform challenges. Its PS3 collection keeps the first three games together, while PS4 owners can select individual classics. Worth it for most players: Uncharted offers a more modern presentation; Jak delivers a larger bundle of old-school adventure.
What games are included in each collection?
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection contains 2 games: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The PS5 and PC editions focus on those two adventures rather than the whole franchise.
Jak and Daxter Collection contains 3 games: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3. The PS3 collection remasters the original trilogy, so it is the most straightforward way to get all three in one package on that console. PS4 listings for The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3 are separate titles, not one combined PS4 collection. Check the platform and exact product name before checkout to avoid expecting a bundle when the listing is for one game.
Which platform should you buy for?
PS5 players should choose Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (PS5) for its dedicated console edition and performance choices. PC players should pick the PC collection and review the system requirements for their computer.
Jak buyers need to match the game to their hardware: Jak and Daxter Collection is a PS3 product, while the individual classics listed here are PS4 releases. Platform compatibility matters more than a familiar series name, especially when comparing digital and physical listings. Confirm whether the product is a disc, download or other format and check your console’s support before purchasing. If you want the complete Jak trilogy, the PS3 collection is the direct match among these picks.
Is Uncharted or Jak and Daxter better for a first-time player?
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is the easier first pick for players who want modern cinematic action, while Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is the natural starting point for the Jak series. Both offer a clear entry into their own style of adventure.
The Uncharted bundle includes two self-contained campaigns and introduces players to different heroes and treasure hunts. The Jak trilogy follows a continuing story, so starting with The Precursor Legacy gives the characters and world more context before Jak II and Jak 3. Players who value quick access to action and presentation should start with Uncharted. Players who enjoy platforming, collectibles and a longer classic series arc should begin with Jak.
What should you check before choosing a Black Friday game?
Check 3 things before choosing: platform, included games and format. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (PS5) is not the same product as its PC version, and Jak and Daxter Collection (PS3) is not the same as a single PS4 classic.
Compare the full product title with your console, then confirm the number of games included. For Uncharted on PS5, Performance+ reaches up to 120 FPS and requires a compatible display for its high-refresh benefit. For Jak, decide whether you want all 3 trilogy games on PS3 or one individual PS4 release. Black Friday 2026 shopping is easier when you make those checks first and pick for the experience you actually want.
Buying Guide
Match the game to your console
Start with platform compatibility. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has PS5 and PC versions. Jak and Daxter Collection is the PS3 trilogy release, while the listed PS4 classics are separate games.
Compare bundle contents
Count the adventures before choosing. Uncharted’s collection has 2 games; Jak and Daxter Collection has 3. Individual PS4 Jak titles contain 1 game apiece.
Choose your preferred genre
Pick Uncharted for cinematic action, shooting and climbing. Pick Jak and Daxter for platforming, exploration and collectibles. The styles differ more than the collection names suggest.
Check technical features
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (PS5) offers a Performance+ mode up to 120 FPS. Confirm display compatibility if high-refresh play matters to you. PC owners should review system requirements.
Think about story order
Start Jak and Daxter with The Precursor Legacy, then continue with Jak II and Jak 3. Uncharted’s two included campaigns are playable as standalone adventures.

Does Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection include 2 games?
